Frakcija, Performing Arts Magazine, was established ten years ago by a group of dramaturgs, theatre theoreticians, critics and artists based in Zagreb. From its first issue FRAKCIJA has been providing a theoretical and critical support for projects that were of marginal interest to the (not only Croatian) mainstream media, theatre criticism and official drama and theatre studies.
PAF (=PerformingArtsForum) is a place for the professional and not-yet professional practitioners and activists in the field of performing arts, visual art, new media and internet, theory and cultural production, who seek to research and determine their own conditions of work. PAF is for people who can motorize their own artistic production and knowledge production not only responding to the opportunities given by the institutional market.
One of the first comments I could call out after the performance of The Theatre of Repetitions was: finally! Finally an event where music and theatre engage on an autonomous third plane of philosophy, saved from the obsessive search for a suitable Musik+Theater relationship whereby the capacity for representation in music traditionally is weighed against theatrical staging.
APT is post-graduate training programme, part of PoPoK. It is an open research environment, based on the principles of self-education and collaboration. During a 12 month trajectory the participants are invited to develop their personal research project, in 3 separate blocks of 3 months.
For the twelfth time in 18 years the international residency program Akademie Schloss Solitude - located in Stuttgart, Germany - is granting approx. 65 residency fellowships of three to twelve months in duration. International artists are invited to apply from the following disciplines: Architecture, Visual Arts, Performing Arts, Design, Literature, Music/Sound and Video/Film/New Media.
MAztp stands for the development of methods for researching and conveying
the art of dance. The MAztp program is a full-time, two-year program which admits a maximum of ten students for each study cycle. The application process occurs every two years.
Plateaux is an international production festival for young artists in the field of experimental theater, performance and live-art. The festival aims to promote new experimental forms of performance by providing them with a professional platform.
POLYFORME organizes a video performance festival - Marseille / November 2009. All videos from all artists are accepted, and the "winner" will have the opportunity to have an exhibition in Marseille during the next year.
The Herbst Academy 2009 takes place within Steirischer Herbst; in Graz, Austria, in October 2009. It consists of 2 workshops for students, artists, theorists and others.

Workshop 2: Stratagames - A Theatre of Operations (by Tomislav Medak, Sergej Goran Pristas & Ivana Ivković / BADco).
Through the program Tanzplan Potsdam: Artists-in-Residence the fabrik Potsdam initiates and supports artistic projects in contemporary dance, choreography and performance with work residencies that include financial, creative, technical and logistical support. The program is oriented to professional artists and groups, from within and beyond Germany.
The Prague Summer Theatre School is meant to provide theatre students and beginning practitioners with a diverse, hands-on immersion in the basic principles and practices of authorial and alternative theatre forms through courses in site-specific and interactive theatre, puppet and object theatre, solo authorial presentations and Acting with the Inner Partner.
This programme is targeted to confirmed writers and artists who will be selected by a board of examiners on the basis of a project they would like to develop in Paris during their stay. This project can be carried out at the invitation of a Paris art institution within the framework of a programme of cultural cooperation or as a personal artistic research approach.
MIRfestival is an international contemporary art festival, focusing on the experiment at the crossroads of performing arts and visual new media. Named after the old orbital station, it aims to become a place where exciting art is being shown by Greek and International artists with a personal view of the world.
Artists are welcome from around the world. Residency periods can be arranged from 1 to 6 months. People working in all disciplines of art, e.g. visual, performing and media arts, music, criticism, research etc are encouraged to apply.
PACT Zollverein runs a residency programme, which is open to professional choreographers, theatre and performance makers from Germany and abroad. Shaped to suit individual needs, residencies are available throughout the year and can include rehearsal space as well as administrative and technical support for artists involved in researching, developing or realising projects or productions.
Teatarfest is an international meeting point of theater groups which have a special way to form their theatre expressions.
Teatarfest's aims are:
- creative and alternative projects, research the directing, performing, speech, movements, costumes, music and other important elements of theatre expressions;
- projects which research new spaces and media.

DISKURS considers itself as a platform for exchange, networking and artistic research. There will be a laboratory for artist collaboration; an internet radio will work towards DISKURS and accompany it during the festival. A retrospective will look back on previous DISKURS festivals. Yet again, the 25th DISKURS wants to trace and bring together new tendencies in the fields of performance, theatre, dance, music and installation.
IFA InteatroFestival Academy is the name of the professional artistic project promoted and founded in 2006 by Inteatro. Every year, young artists of various nationalities have the possibility to stay for a long period in Villa Nappi (Polverigi, An - Italy), in order to work with established artists.
The sixth edition of Festival NagiB will take place from September 15 to 18 2010 in Maribor, Slovenia. We call for projects that are undertaking a research in the medium itself and investigate new possibilities of expression. The works should not be shorter than 20 minutes, projects taking place outside of the traditional theatre space are welcome.

Choresound 09 is a forum and artistic lab that focuses on the process of composing contemporary dance and music. It is a week designed to explore and develop the collaboration between choreographers and composers /music and dance, and to expand the knowledge and experience on related issues.

The main interest of SU08 is to experiment with and to test the practices PAF is developing and will develop in future: areas of research, modes (methods, procedures, techniques) of production, frames of collaboration, types of projects, discursive engagement by all interested participants. We invite you to enroll into the Seminar of Contemporary Performing Arts. In the 2009/2010 school year, the seminar will take place under the heading Artistic and Social Assemblage of Bodies: Contemporary Performing Arts and the Powerlessness of the Political. In its ninth consecutive year, the Seminar will again be composed of internal lectures, a series of public lectures and four theoretical and practical workshops.

The Summer School will take place on 16-22 August, 2009, in Ohrid (Macedonia). The programme comprises of different activities such as lectures, workshops, seminar readings, discussions, film projections, and other events related to the issues of self-education and self-organisation in the context of alternative education in arts and culture.
The festival is a platform for young choreographers who already reached an own profile on their way to the international dance scene. The festival takes place during one week and offers exchange for young international artists. The program offers a selection of current new contemporary dance tendencies accompanied by lectures, workshops and video installations.

The summer school is a part of the project on collective self-education in the arts and culture Deschooling Classroom(o^o). It is organised by TkH platform (Belgrade) and Kontrapunkt (Skopje). The programme activities were created according to the various fields of interest of the participants such as: curating of visual and non-visual arts, interdisciplinary dramaturgy, open source technology, etc.
